Meet the team

EGS Energy’s management team has a unique balance of operational, technical, financial and management expertise.  Most importantly amongst the team there is extensive experience of treating the underground rock-mass to create EGS reservoirs that can generate electricity and energy for heating.

Bill Kelly:
Director

Bill has thirty-five years’ executive experience in infrastructure development, with a primary emphasis on the power generation and energy services industries.

Guy Macpherson-Grant:
Director

Guy is Managing Director, and founder shareholder, of EGS Energy Limited and has been driving all the surface elements of the company’s business since its inception in 2008.

Richard Day:
Director

As well as being a Director of EGS Energy. Richard is Chairman of Eden Geothermal Limited, the SPV company that was formed to develop and operate the deep geothermal site at the Eden Project in Cornwall.

Roy Baria

Roy Baria:
Technical Director

Roy is the pre-eminent geophysicist in the development and management of hot dry rock geothermal projects with over 30 years’ experience.  He is Technical Director, and founder shareholder, of EGS Energy Limited.

Dr Jörg Baumgärtner:
Special Adviser Operations

Jörg is a geophysicist by profession and took his PhD in stress measurement.  He has a strong background and extensive experience in both conventional and engineered geothermal systems and their management.

Tony Bennett:
Operations Director

Tony is a Chartered Mining Engineer with a degree from Camborne School of Mines. Between 1980 and 1991 he worked as Technical Support Engineer at the Rosemanowes Project.
